What are the benefits of high sleeper loft beds for older children?

High sleeper beds can be a fantastic choice for older children, offering several benefits that cater to both their needs and preferences:

Space-Saving Design: High sleeper beds are elevated, creating valuable space underneath which also means alleviating space elsewhere in their bedroom.

The area underneath the ‘upper bunk’ can be utilised as a study zone with a desk, a cosy lounging spot for chill time and sleepovers, or to house extra storage solutions - perfect for growing children who need more room for hobbies and belongings.

Encourages Organisation: With the added storage or study space, high sleeper beds promote tidiness and organisation. Older children can have designated areas for their books, gadgets, or toys, with designated space for all their bits and bobs.

Creates a Personal Haven: With the bed at the top, the space underneath bed can become a private retreat, ideal for teens who cherish a little independence and a place to unwind.

Stylish and Modern: High sleeper beds often come in sleek designs that appeal to older children, making their room look more mature and personalised. Our Fargo high sleeper beds are all designed with a timeless aesthetic, to suit elegant and classical style homes too.

Promotes Independence: As children grow older, having their unique setup in the room can make them feel more independent and responsible. A futon chair or sofa underneath the upper bed can really make it feel like a grown up living room space – ideal for entertaining their buddies, too.

Durable and Practical: High sleeper beds are generally built to last, providing a long-term solution that accommodates the child’s needs as they grow. As their requirements change, you can consider removing, adapting or changing the furniture underneath their bed to suit.
