The Benefits of Bunk Beds

Bunk beds are a brilliant space-saving solution, especially for smaller rooms or shared spaces.  The key is to finding one that lasts and will stand the test of time.

Here’s why we think bunk beds are a great choice for a child’s bedroom:

  • Maximizing Floor Space – Since one bed is stacked on top of the other, taking up the footprint of just one bed, it frees up valuable room for play, study, or storage.
  • Ideal for Shared Rooms – If siblings share a bedroom, bunk beds offer personal sleeping spaces while keeping things cosy. Dividing or convertible bunk beds that split down into two make them a great option as sharing siblings grow older.
  • Fun for Kids – There’s something adventurous about sleeping in a bunk bed, particularly the top bunk—like having a little hideaway or castle!
  • Guest-Friendly – Bunk beds are also a popular option for one child, as they work well for hosting sleepovers or accommodating guests without needing extra bedrooms.
  • Customizable Designs – Many bunk beds (often called loft beds) come with built-in storage, desks, or even extra pull-out beds for extra flexibility.

Here at Little Folks, we design and manufacture all sorts of bunk beds. Here are some different types of bunks to consider:

  • Standard Bunk Bed – This is a classic design with two twin beds stacked on top of each other. All our standard style bunk beds are available both with and without space saving trundle.
