Refresh their room for spring!

Despite the recent weather events, spring is all but around the corner (we hope!)

So, in the name of organisation, here at Little Folks Furniture, we have been busy refreshing and designing new beds in a few of our collections.  Here are some ideas to breathe new life into your child’s bedroom this spring:

1. Brighten Up with Colour: Introduce fresh, more vibrant hues for spring. You could paint one wall in a bold shade or add more colourful accessories such as cushions, rugs, and curtains.

Great spring themed colours include:

Pastel tones for a more subtle spring vibe

Pops of Sunshine Yellow bring a warmth and cheer to a bedroom

Peach tones are soft and inviting, prefect for adding warmth without being overpowering.

Whites and Neutrals are great when used as base colours to help a space stay fresh and open

2. Nature-Inspired Decor: Bring the outside in by using nature-inspired decor. Think floral prints, leafy patterns, or even some nature themed wall art. Adding some indoor plants, even artificial ones can also make a huge difference.

3. Declutter and Organize: Spring is perfect for a good declutter. Sort through toys, books, and clothes, and donate or store away items that are no longer needed. Use storage totes, shelves, bookcases and organisers to keep everything tidy.

Mid sleeper and High sleeper beds are great options for multifunctional storage included within the bed frame.

Chests of Drawers and Bookcases are smaller pieces of furniture that can add handy storage elements in their room.

4. Lightweight Bedding: Swap out heavy winter bedding for lighter, more breathable materials such as linen and 100% cotton. You could also consider fun, spring-themed bedspreads or sheets to add a cheerful touch.

5. Outdoor-Inspired Furniture: If space allows, consider adding furniture that has a bit of an outdoor feel, like a small tent or teepee or a bench seat. These pieces can create a fun, whimsical atmosphere indoors.

6. Upcycled Projects: Get creative with some DIY upcycling projects. You could repaint an old piece of furniture or upcycle some old toys.

7. Seasonal Themes: Consider incorporating seasonal themes such as butterflies, birds, or gardens to celebrate the arrival of spring. These can be added through bedding, artwork, and decorative touches too.

By incorporating just one or two of these ideas, you can create a refreshed and inviting space that your child will love spending time in.
