A delicate and warm hue that is well suited to younger children’s bedrooms for a calming space, we reckon Pantone’s colour of the year for 2024, Peach Fuzz, is a great option for families.
A colour that embodies friendship, closeness and a sense of 90s nostalgia, Peach is a playful hue that adds a youthful element when used anywhere in the home.
Here are our top 5 ways to use Peach this year:
Pretty pastels
Pair it with lilac for a complementary scheme, inspired by sugar coated pastels.
Mix old with new
Peach tones can often be found in vintage fabrics, like these curtains. Using vintage textiles adds interest and drama to a bedroom, and they’re a great way to enhance a child’s bedroom and give it character without the need for cartoon characters.
Get the Blues
Historically a colour used predominantly in boys rooms, we’re pleased to see Indigo blue tones making their mark in all bedrooms. Deep Blue provides a stunning contrast in front of a delicate and warm, Peach toned wall.
Add some texture
Panelled walls have been big news in the last year, and we can see why. It’s ideal for adding in old-style architectural features in any home, and works wonderfully well with soft Peach tones too for a nod to the past.
Peach and Green should always be seen
For older children’s rooms, try going a few shades deeper into light terracotta tones, and combine this deeper Peach with Olive Green for a more sophisticated palette.
Green and peach are a match made in heaven; Peachy Green!
